Keeping it Weird down here. Yes I am living in a Red State. As I have said, I do appreciate living in Austin. If I had to live anywhere in Texas, Austin would be and IS my choice. The sprawling micro-plex provides me a great deal of charming hippy weirdness such as Gardens of the Ancients. And I am reminded yet again, that yes, I am living in a Red State. Things I do in Texas now that I never did in Texas before.

Art exhibit at the Harry Ransom Center, part of the UT campus located right off of Guadalupe and 21st Street in downtown Austin, TX. The star of the event is the American landscape painter Frank Reaugh who memorialized the south-western landscape in ink, graphite, pastel and paints. On the Ranch, 1941. Oil and tempra on Masonite.
